Jason Ramos, MD, FAAFP
Program Director
Partnering with Patients and Promoting Compassionate Primary Healthcare for the Community
Jason Ramos, MD, FAAFP was born in Detroit and raised in Flint, Michigan. Dr. Ramos attended Flint public schools and gained a keen interest in helping underserved populations. He graduated from the University of Michigan and went on to earn his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Following that, Dr. Ramos trained at the Oakwood Family Medicine Residency (now Beaumont/Corewell) in Wayne and Dearborn, MI. Since completing residency, he has practiced family medicine in a variety of settings, including rural, urban, and suburban areas. The draw of being able to help all patients, regardless of insurance or other limiting factors brought Dr. Ramos back to working for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) like Honor Community Health (HCH) in Pontiac, MI, and he was appointed the founding Program Director of HCH’s nascent Family Medicine Residency Program – Michigan’s first and only FQHC residency program.
He has particular interest in continuity of care, preventive medicine, and quality measures and has helped offices achieve and maintain the designation of Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). Dr. Ramos has gained a reputation for taking time to listen to his patients and their family members and formulating treatment plans and goals that are understandable and achievable.
With Honor Community Health since 2017, Dr. Ramos is board certified in Family Medicine and is an active member and fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice (AAFP). He has been practicing family medicine for over 18 years. He has found teaching the next generation of physicians particularly rewarding.
Away from the office Dr. Ramos enjoys travel, playing basketball, and spending time with family. He is an avid fan of the Detroit Pistons and University of Michigan basketball and football.
Grateful for the opportunity and eager to help those in need, Dr. Ramos looks forward to continuing to work at Honor, making sure that patients receive the care he would wish for his own family members and molding resident physicians to provide the same.
